About Tony and TR Gardening Services
I'm Tony, the gardener behind TR Gardening Services. I have more than 20 years of practical gardening experience and I'm now based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, working with homeowners across the town and nearby villages.
I take care of established gardens, lawns, hedges, planting and general garden maintenance. Some customers want regular visits throughout the year, while others call me for a one-off tidy, seasonal work or help with a garden that has become difficult to keep on top of.
I'm City & Guilds qualified, Lantra certified and fully insured. I bring my own maintained equipment and, before starting, I like to understand what you want from the garden, how much upkeep you want afterwards and which jobs matter most.
I previously worked in Orpington before relocating to Melton Mowbray. Some customer reviews and photographs on this website are from work completed before the move; they are still genuine examples of my own work and customer feedback.
You'll deal with me from the first call
TR Gardening Services is a small, owner-run business. If you call or send an enquiry, you'll speak to me. I'll discuss the work with you, visit the garden where needed and carry out the agreed work myself.
I don't work from fixed maintenance packages. Two gardens of the same size can need very different care, so I look at what is actually growing, what condition the garden is in and what you want to achieve before suggesting the work.
For regular maintenance, I can agree the jobs that need attention on each visit. For one-off work, I'll explain what I can do and give you a clear idea of the time and cost involved.

Experience and qualifications
Good garden care comes from knowing when to cut, prune, feed, plant or leave something alone. My experience has been built through years of practical work in customers' gardens, backed up by professional training.
City & Guilds qualified
My formal training supports the day-to-day horticultural knowledge I use when caring for plants, lawns and established gardens.
Lantra certified
I hold Lantra certification relevant to the professional gardening work I carry out.
Fully insured
TR Gardening Services is fully insured for the work I undertake at customers' properties.

My own equipment
I bring the equipment needed for the agreed work, from hedge cutting and mowing to scarifying and pruning. It is kept serviced and ready so the job can be carried out properly.
