Garden care for Oakham homes
Oakham has a real mix of homes. There are older properties close to the market place, established residential streets and newer housing towards Barleythorpe. That can mean anything from a compact courtyard and a few planted borders to a larger lawn with mature hedges.
The Buttercross, Oakham Castle and Cutts Close are well-known parts of the town, but most of the gardening work happens in the ordinary gardens behind people's homes. Keeping those spaces in good shape can take a fair bit of time, particularly when everything starts growing in spring.

Garden maintenance in Oakham through the seasons
Lawns and borders can be manageable in winter and suddenly take off when warmer weather arrives. Spring is often about getting things back into shape. Summer brings regular mowing, weeding and keeping the hedges under control. In autumn there are leaves to clear, borders to tidy and shrubs to cut back when appropriate.
I don't expect every garden to need the same visits. We can discuss the areas you want to look after yourself and the jobs you'd rather hand over. If it's a one-off visit instead of ongoing maintenance, that's fine.

Can you come for just one garden tidy-up?
Yes. You don't have to arrange a regular gardening service. A one-off visit might be enough to sort overgrown borders, cut things back or get the garden manageable again.
Could you look after the lawn while I do the planting?
Of course. Plenty of people enjoy parts of gardening and would rather leave mowing or hedge cutting to someone else. We can agree which jobs you want me to handle.
Can I arrange more visits in spring and summer?
We can talk about seasonal maintenance rather than assuming you'll need the same number of visits all year. It depends on the garden and the work involved.
Do I need to be at home when you visit?
We can discuss access and any arrangements that would be needed before booking the work. The important thing is that we're both clear about what you want done.
